Aotearoa Ultimate and DDC/Recreational Discs -- based out of New Zealand and one of many disc sports companies that are now popping up outside of the United States. Aotearoa is a Maori word that means "land of the long white cloud". It originally referred to the Great Barrier Island, but is now synonymous with New Zealand as an entire country.

The NZ Ultimate disc has passed Phase I UPA approval, but is pending final UPA approval. Full approval is expected by the end of 2007. It is perfect for a serious match of Ultimate or just for playing catch.

The Kiwi Flyer uses the Rippa mold, but is made with a classic, lighter weight, glossy plastic. At 114g it’s a perfect beginner golf disc, Double Disc Court (DDC) disc or as a recreational catch disc.
